We
purchased our first Boxer in 1952. She was a plain faced red
called Stella but was a double Helios Von Haus Germania
grandaughter. We produced our first litter and campaigned a boy
called The Mindenwood Masterpiece who was by Frohlich Von Dom
and did quite well but we did not really travel far as cars were
considered a luxury.
We
purchased a dog called Drummage from Audrey Stephenson who had
the Seacrest Boxers. "Drum" became our first Champion
and the showing of dogs as a hobby really took hold. We have
shown extensively since that time, made up more Champions and CC
winners and we are now both Championship Show judges. At
Mindenwood we and the progeny have amassed 45CCs and 44RCCs.
Besides the Boxers we have had Miniature Schnauzers, Great Danes
and Griffons.
When
you look across at the kennels it is interesting to note that
all 9 dogs are Championship Show winners and are all heart
tested.
