Robbie (Ch. Carinya Rye 'N' Dry)

Robbie was bred by Mrs Daphne North and given to our daughter as a present. Robbie came to Mindenwood as a puppy and although we cannot boast either having bred or owned him he became very special to us and we campaigned him to 23 CCs and 16 RCCs, numerous Best in Shows, winner of three Working Groups and Reserve in 3 Groups at Championship Show Level. The most beautifully constructed dog and as said by one judge "Poetry in Motion". He won 3 Champion Stakes and was only unplaced once. Robbie is the keystone to the stock that we have today and our aim would be to produce one like him, but they only come once in a lifetime. Not only a wonderful Boxer but a great mate and companion. Unfortunately he went down with cancer at the young age of 3 but, with not a great deal of stud work behind him, he still managed to produce 2 Champions and other CC winners. In 1994 he was top stud in the country (two years after being castrated). He lived until he was 9 years of age and his going left a large gap at Mindenwood. He will never be forgotten.
